Salty Dog is the ONLY Indoor/Outdoor climate controlled Boarding Facility on the Outer Banks with modern spacious kennels. Located on Colington Island in Kill Devil Hills.
We want to make your stay on the Outer Banks a great experience. We offer total pet care. Two families live on site so someone is always here with your loved ones. While here at Salty dog you pets will have their vacation also. On prearranged days (Mon, Tues, Thur and Fri from 10am until 4 pm) you may take you dog out for a day with you provided the heat index is not over 95 degrees. Remember, when your dog is on the beach the sand is very hot on their bare paws. Also don't forget the sunscreen for your dog! While your dog is with us, arrange a visit to our pet spa. This is a great time for them to be pampered with a nice bath and clip from our Master Groomer, Katrina Caldwell. Katrina has over 25 years experience grooming all breeds of show dogs.
